Our Services cross border made to order

Our startup heritage and complex project experience promotes engaging with our customers in an iterative approach to global expansion. What is being sold and shipped, and to which countries, has a large influence on expansion partners and technology.

Combined Wisdom engages with our customers through a variety of project types, each designed to best fit where our customer is in their cross border expansion strategy. Depending on where our customer is in their International Expansion Maturity Model, their needs will be drastically different. Most of our engagements start with a discovery project, usually short term with a focused scope and deliverables. From there, further initiatives take shape based on the stakeholder's needs.

Using our experience, ecosystem of service providers and an iterative approach to investment, we help our customers get to market quickly with solutions and then to iterate with the customer around their new growing business to further tailor their features to their specific business. Approaching projects this way helps everyone manage their investments in line with expansion steps helping minimize risk and ensure the right set of features for each unique business.

Discovery Projects

Discovery projects are specifically designed to help our customer and us come together around scope and constraints of the customer's international expansion ambitions. Working within the constraints, we will work together to establish a tactical plan to realize the sought after scope along a strategic horizon. The output of this phase is consensus between the customer and Combined Wisdom, a list of prioritized scope items and a plan for how to organize projects and staff roles in those projects, including both customer and Combined Wisdom resources.

Build Projects

Through iterative development, we efficiently construct and assemble technology platforms to power our customer's product/service.  To align with the customer's take to market strategy, we often iterate an incubation project through the following stages.

  1. Demo - Quickly assemble a set of materials to help business sponsors illustrate concepts so that they can develop buy-in from their stakeholders
  2. Pilot - See if the idea works in relevant sample of the target audience.
  3. Full Scale - Load test and setup provisioning to meet service level agreements.
  4. Product Backlog - additional features are added based on length of project and capacity of the team.
  5. Stabilization and Tuning - Program stabilization that takes place typically as you start going to market or are in market for a short duration.

Operations Projects

We deliver software at the end of each incubation cycle.  This software needs to be hosted somewhere for users to access.  Combined Wisdom manages its own cloud infrastructure and has the means to deliver the technology operation as part of the incubation project as well.  If customer IT teams are not ready to take on operational responsibility for the new system, Combined Wisdom will, provided we play a role in continued development of the service.

Graduation Projects

Technology graduation and operational transition services.  Once a product technology base is incubated, we help graduate the product into the Client’s operating team for longer term sustaining and operation.  Technology graduation can include the following activities:

  1. Application user guide (GUI and Web Services
  2. Application deployment guide
  3. Documentation archives
  4. Code archives
  5. Live train the train knowledge transfer sessions 

Engagement depends on solution complexity and receiving team preparedness.

Where we produce our own cross border services

Our incubation labs are active and working on projects sponsored by a variety parties both internal and external to Combined Wisdom. This is where we co-develop products with customers and partners. Risk is shared between parties as is the upside from the future success of the co-developed product.

Our internal product development motivation is to create products to compliment the solution requirements of our customers.

Cross border sales and trade comprises a lot of services. There is a lot more to do however and our labs aims to push the envelope on what is possible in cross border commerce.
